Iberia

Iberia

Iberia is ruled by by King Sebastian Carona and Queen Savannah de León. King Carona comes from the draconic clan Carona; while, Queen de León is an wild elf who has chosen to match herself with this strong king. Both are strong supporters of the Unified Church of Truth and they leave many of the daily tasks of running the kingdom to High Inquisitor Baltasar Barrosa of the Church. High Inquisitor Barrosa has taken a strong hand in the kingdom as in the south they recently put down a civil war led by followers of the Hubric Heresy.

The cities, towns, villages, and roadways of Iberia are all protected by the prayers of the faithful and the power of The Church. Each village has a large church and everyone goes to church at least once a day. Towns and cities will have more churches to accomodate the greater number of people. All along the roadsides you will find icons to The Twelve and periodically there are wayside shrines, occasionally manned but usually not where adherants can make small offerings. The faith of the devout, and even the not so devout, provides protection for the people and the horrors that surely lurk in the dark forests, hills, and mountains that surround the countryside remain at bay. The occasional templar forces that ride into the wilderness to clear out heritical infestations probably helps as well.

The primary language of Iberia is Draconic but everyone also speaks Common and Elvish. Many also speak Gnomish, particularly in the south.

Major cities in Iberia include The Guardian, The Place of Olives, The Wall, The Duchy of Marvelo, Fort Over The Valley, Seat of the King of the Church, Helmantica, Bolskan, The Town of Three Lies, Gerunda, Saints’ Graveyard, Iruna, Head of Castilly, City of Joy and Valour, The Stronghold, Salt Port, The River Crossing, Victory Port, Port City, City of Counts, and New City.
