Bards

Expertise:

At 3rd level:

Choose two areas within your existing backgrounds to specialize. With those specialized areas double your proficiency bonus.

At 10th level:

Choose two areas within your existing backgrounds to specialize. With those specialized areas double your proficiency bonus.

College of Lore, Bonus Proficiencies:

You can an additional background and if related to knowledge or lore the proficiency bonus is doubled.

 

Clerics

Lore Domain, Blessing of Knowledge:

2 languages and you have two of the Student of Arcane Studies, Student of History, Student of Nature, or Student of Religion backgrounds (by any name that feels fun, engaging, and correct for your characte’s story) at double your proficiency bonus.

Lore Domain, Knowledge of the Ages:

Give yourself a narrow background (or a specific skill) at your proficiency bonus) for  10 minutes. Examples of narrow backgrounds would be City Guard in Camelot, Apprentice Mage to Exarch of the Lady of the Lake, Beggar in the streets of Garlstown, Lady in Waiting for Her Majesty’s Daughter Princess Owena.

Nature Domain, Acolyte of Nature:

You have the Acolyte of Nature background (by any name that feels fun, engaging, and correct for your character’s story) at your proficiency bonus.

 

Fighter

Student of War

You gain an additional background that must be related to a craft. The point value is equal to your proficiency bonus.

 

Ranger

Natural Explorer

You have the Natural Explorer background (by any name that feels fun, engaging, and correct for your character’s story) for a specific favored terrain at its full possible bonus of +6, without having to spend your normal background points on it. You are an expert wilderness tracker, capable of reading clues from the environment that others can’t perceive.

You gain this bonus again at 5th, 11th, and 17th level for different terrains.

Tracker

You have the Wilderness Tracker background at its full possible bonus of +6. You are an expert wilderness tracker, capable of reading clues from the environment that others can’t perceive. Tracking doesn’t work well, however, in heavily traveled urban environments (unless you get an additional background to that effect)

 

Rogue

Expertise

You have the Thievery background (by any name that feels fun, engaging, and correct for your character’s background) at double your normal bonus.

Assassin Bonus Proficiencies

You have the Assassin background (by any name that feels fun, engaging, and correct for your character’s story) at double your proficiency bonus.

 

Warlock

Beguiling Influence

You have the Beguiling Influence background (by any name that feels fun, engaging, and correct for your character’s story) at double your normal proficiency bonus.

Demonology

Warlocks who have the Fiend as a patron are practicing Demonology to one degree or another, whether they are aware of it or not. The character can tap into their fiendish patron for extra power. They can reroll a number of the damage dice up to your Charisma modifier (minimum of one). You must use the new rolls. Every time they do this they gain an extra corruption point. Depending on the patron there are other benefits.

When a Warlock of the Fiend gains a new invocation they gain a corruption point and each time they learn a spell they gain a corruption point. When they use their Mystic Arcanum spell they gain a corruption point. When they use their Eldritch Master power they gain a corruption point. Calling on the Dark One’s Own Luck gains a corruption point. Using Hurl through Hell gains a corruption point.

Relationship Dice

A warlock must assign at least one of their relationship dice to an icon that corresponds to their patron as follows:

Patrons

Sorcerer

Draconic Ancestor

You gain a +2 bonus to a background that involves or suggests your draconic ancestry (if any).

Wizards

While all wizards start with a spellbook, most wizards will also start with an excerpt from a famous spellbook.
